ADF Creation

ADF Creation is an extension of previous work for a mass market tool to create KMZ's with Geo-referenced KMZs for sale with SmartPlan. This is an expansion of what was aimed at late in 2018 but expanded to create 3D files for alternative sales channels like Leica reps. It could also serve the original function envisioned for the mass market product on just the web.

Overview

This product is about handling large amounts of data generated from Drones (or Lidar) and massaging it into a result that can be used by 4D. The initial hope was that the drone software would create reasonable outputs suited to earthwork but for the most part that's not being seen. Our particular niche is to simplify the data reduction for our customers and create outputs that are usable.

This is a followup to the Materials release. The goal is to solidify our UAV workflow and improve cleanup of point clouds.

	* Additional Surfaces & Layers ( Gradework only?)
 * Although we know we can add more surfaces, some guidance on reasonableness from Dave should be requested. With 64 bit computers and larger amounts of Ram the current limits are conservative and drone data highlights the need.

Quarry and Pit Features

Our experiences with UAV data and volumetrics make doing quarries and material quantification well within our capabilities. They can be done now with the existing Gradework program but we should also consider a stripped down app to do the same thing. My inclination at this point is to add the capability to Gradework as simply another guide that automates a lot of the cut and paste needed now. A dedicated program for pursuing outside the normal customer base could be deri…

Next Gen Interface Framework

The UAV photogrammetry project and the desire to match desktop and ConX interfaces has led us to investigate the next generation of UI layout. XAML has now opened up beyond C# code to support C++ which most of AGTEK's code is based on. The ability to reuse portions of the existing codebase is potentially a huge multiplier in effectiveness and speed to market.
