RTK uses modes to accomplish specific tasks. The four modes are:
I'd like RTK and Smartdirt to be as close as possible in flow knowing that there will be necessary deviations.
This is for items which are especially unique to RTK.
A floating semi-transparent shoot button on screen. Taking a shot is probably the single most common thing we do in RTK. On the PPC platform we have a dedicated button on the device. We lack that on Android. We may even want to make this moveable to 4 different positions on each edge. Posssible interface is hold and drag, similar to adding a shortcut to the android main screens.

Choosing the Alignment type - After picking a file, the Alignment type window displays. Shoot benchmarks shows the file and prompts for shooting of the benchmarks. Recover is only available if recover data is available in the file. Menu options are available for:
The program prompts the user to pick Benchmark 1, occupy the point and shoot. Only benchmarks are selectable in this mode. The Shoot button samples GPS points to the specified number (configured in Settings-GPS) and does the average of shots excluding those outside a standard deviation to establish the location of Benchmark 1.
At this point the program prompts the user to pick benchmark 2 and shows the assumed location of the GPS rover onscreen in relation to the job file. This is an assumed position because we have to assume rotation at this point and that the job file itself is oriented north. The distance at the screen bottom displays distance between the GPS rover (arrow) and the selected benchmark.
After shooting the second benchmark, the Alignment Deviation report displays the difference between the GPS shot locations and the plan locations. Pressing Accept prompts for the mode to display (grade or stake) while pressing Reshoot takes the user back to the Alignment screens. If possible, it would be ideal if the menu also displayed giving the user a choice of reshooting the first benchmark or the last benchmark. This process can be repeated until the desired alignment deviation is accepted.
Upon accepting the deviation, the user is prompted to choose a mode (grade or stake). The mode button selected changes the view to that mode.
Note: Cut/fill color is not being show on the graphics because my assumption is that we're doing calculations in the background while doing the Alignment process. On a job the size of Airway I'd expect the cut/fill color to show up at some point during the process. I would like the program to not change the zoom value to home view when that happens and retain the current view.
